Popular lunchtime playreading series Play With Your Food opens the door to its 2020 season on January 14 at Fairfield Theatre Company (70 Sanford St.) with additional performances February 11, March 10 and April 21. A delicious lunch catered by local restaurants begins at 12 noon followed by three irresistible one-act plays read by professional actors, many of whom hail from Broadway, film and television. The performance concludes with a talkback with the cast and Artistic Director.

The Winterfest 2020 brings together local restaurants, breweries, store vendors, and the community to enjoy it all! There will be plenty of comfort food, music, standup comedy, and more! The event takes place at the Brooklawn Country Club from 1pm – 4pm on January 26.

Dust off your fedoras for a quintuple-horned blast of retro big-band swing as BBVD delivers an infectiously groovy vibe that defies even the most tranquil audience member from leaping to his feet to jitterbug with his duchess.
The Devil Makes Three is a breath of fresh, American blues air. Laced with elements of ragtime, country, and folk, the critically praised trio brings a genuine approach to roots-rock. Their modern take on classic themes has won accolades from critics across the board, with NPR describing the trio as “acoustic roots music with a relentless beat in mind at all times,” going on to praise their “whiskey-drenched, ramshackle fury, and fiendish intensity.”
From onstage “musical trust falls” to psychedelics and Soundgarden-inspired mixes in the studio, Ghost Light has emerged as the jam scene’s underdog supergroup. The alternative 4-piece band, Ghost Light, is building a name through a gracefully executed fusion of live instrumentals, cinematic percussive elements, and a powerful musical vision. Unafraid to embrace the unconventional, their music endeavors to bring listeners to a place of transcendence, through a melding of emotional devices.
He’s won Grammy Awards, Guitar Player magazine’s Best Country Guitarist award five times in a row, honored at the U.K. Americana Awards with the Trailblazer Lifetime Achievement Award, and Eric Clapton has called him “the greatest guitarist in the world.”
The Fairfield Theatre Company hosts Wali Collins, Mick Diflo, Marla Schultz, and Shaun Eli for a night of politically correct comedy.
He has made appearances on BET’s Comic View and BET News. A veteran of the NYC stand up scene, he can be seen regularly at the city’s finest clubs, including Comedy Cellar, Caroline’s on Broadway, and Stand Up NY. Fuqua has given hilarious commentary as himself on VH1’s shows and Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He has also worked as a writer and performer on the P. Diddy Presents The Bad Boys of Comedy series. In 2009, Fuqua made over a dozen appearances on TruTV’s The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest, a popular long running series. Recently, Fuqua appeared on the 1st season finale of the critically acclaimed FX series, Louie, co-starring with comedian, Godfrey. Fuqua made a return appearance in the 2nd season of Louie, appearing as the Comedy Cellar emcee, a role he regularly fills with the club.
